A record 50 Cent released in 2005 just crossed another modern-era milestone.
“Just A Lil Bit” has passed one billion streams on Spotify, more than two decades after it appeared on The Massacre.
According to uDiscover Music, it is now the sixth 50 Cent song to enter Spotify’s Billions Club, following “In Da Club,” “Candy Shop,” “P.I.M.P.,” “Hate It Or Love It” and “21 Questions.”
The song came from 50’s second-album run
“Just A Lil Bit” was one of the major singles from The Massacre, 50’s 2005 follow-up to Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
The record was produced by Scott Storch and became another Top 10 hit during a stretch when 50’s catalog was dominating radio, video and album sales at the same time.
What changed is the scoreboard.
The original run happened before Spotify existed in the U.S. The billion-stream mark comes from listeners continuing to find and replay the record years later.
One billion is really a catalog story
The number matters because it shows how long a hit can keep working.
A song can finish its original radio run, leave the charts and still keep building value because the catalog never fully closes. New listeners discover old records through playlists, social clips, movies, artist pages and the rest of the catalog around them.
That is how a 2005 single can keep adding meaningful scale in 2026.
50 now has multiple eras feeding the same catalog
50 Cent has spent years building businesses in television, film, touring and other areas outside music.
But the original music is still working underneath all of it.
“Just A Lil Bit” reaching one billion streams does not create the legacy by itself.
It shows the legacy is still being played.
