Agreement to These Terms
These Terms apply to Rap Recap Live ("RRL") websites, editorial content, Rap Check, RRL ID accounts, artist discovery features, submissions, tools, partnership pages and related services. By using the services, and by creating an RRL ID where account creation is offered, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an RRL ID. Do not create an account if you are under 13. Certain future promotions, events or commercial features may have a higher age requirement stated in their separate rules or terms.
RRL ID and Account Security
An RRL ID lets eligible users save Rap Check results, build XP and streaks, maintain knowledge and taste signals, save artists and use other account features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. RRL may restrict, suspend or remove accounts or activity that appears fraudulent, abusive, automated, manipulated or inconsistent with these Terms.
Rap Check, Scores, XP and Rankings
Rap Check is an entertainment and culture-knowledge experience. Scores, XP, streaks, knowledge reads, taste signals, discovery reputation and similar features are platform metrics, not cash, property, professional credentials or guarantees of future benefits. RRL may correct questions, adjust scoring systems, remove invalid activity, recalibrate rankings and change game mechanics to protect quality and integrity.
Prizes and Promotions
No prize, sweepstakes or cash benefit is offered merely because XP, streaks or eligibility fields exist in the platform. When RRL activates a promotion, separate Official Rules control that promotion’s dates, eligibility, entry method, drawing, verification and prize terms. For the RRL Rap Check $100 Weekly Drop pilot, no purchase is necessary and score, XP, purchases, referrals, shares and artist actions do not improve odds. Editorial Artist Profiles
RRL may publish editorial or reference information about artists, public figures, releases and music culture as part of its media and discovery coverage. An "RRL Editorial Profile" is an RRL-created editorial/reference page and does not mean the artist created the page, joined RRL, endorsed RRL or has a commercial relationship with RRL. Artist names, trademarks and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
RRL Curated and Participating Artists
"RRL Curated" identifies an artist independently selected by RRL for discovery coverage and does not by itself imply endorsement or participation by that artist. "Artist Participating" identifies an artist with a direct RRL submission, claim, permission or other documented relationship. Verification and participation labels are controlled by RRL and may be updated when a relationship changes.
Artist Signals and Discovery
Follows, saves, ratings, early calls, listening-out clicks, support-intent clicks and similar signals are RRL platform interactions. They may inform recommendations, editorial review and internal demand analysis. They do not guarantee coverage, ranking, placement, revenue, label interest, streams, purchases or other outcomes. RRL may exclude suspicious or manipulated activity.
Editorial Independence and No Implied Endorsement
Coverage of, reference to, or linking to an artist, celebrity, label, company or public figure does not imply that person or organization sponsors, endorses, partners with or participates in RRL unless RRL expressly identifies such a relationship. Paid or sponsored content will be identified where required.
Intellectual Property
Original RRL branding, designs, writing, graphics, software, databases and other owned materials may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Third-party names, trademarks, photographs, recordings, videos and other materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. Links or embeds to third-party services do not transfer ownership of that material to RRL.
Submissions
Submitting music, artwork, links, contact information or other materials does not guarantee review, coverage, placement, premiere, profile publication, partnership or acceptance. You represent that you have authority to submit the information and materials you provide and that your submission does not knowingly violate another person's rights. Additional release, payment or participation terms may apply to selected opportunities.
RRL Connect and Professional Introductions
RRL Connect may review artist requests, review or vet professional applicants, identify potential fits and facilitate introductions. A review, approval, match, introduction, rating or recommendation is not a guarantee of identity, quality, availability, pricing, safety, project completion or results. Unless RRL expressly agrees otherwise in a separate written agreement, RRL is not the employer, agent, manager, contractor, payment processor or party to the agreement between an artist and a professional. The parties are responsible for confirming scope, deliverables, rights, credits, deadlines, payment terms, refunds, taxes, licenses, contracts and any in-person safety arrangements before work begins. RRL may decline, pause or remove requests, professionals or matches when needed for quality, integrity, safety or operational reasons. Users under 18 should have a parent or legal guardian handle contracts, payments and other legally binding project decisions.
External Platforms and Links
RRL may link to or embed services such as YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. Those services operate under their own terms, privacy policies and licensing systems. RRL is not responsible for changes, outages or actions of third-party platforms.
No Guaranteed Results
RRL does not guarantee audience growth, revenue, streams, press coverage, chart performance, discovery outcomes, campaign results, professional opportunities or other results unless expressly stated in a separate signed agreement.
Changes and Corrections
RRL may update the services, these Terms, editorial material, scores, classifications and product rules as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; when appropriate, RRL may request a new affirmative account consent.
