Hieroglyphics have a new full group album out.
The Oakland collective released All Said And Done on Sept. 3 through Hieroglyphics Imperium, delivering 16 tracks built around combinations of Del the Funky Homosapien, Casual, Tajai, Opio, A-Plus, Phesto Dee and Pep Love.
The project is the crew’s first full group album since The Kitchen in 2013, ending a 13-year gap between Hieroglyphics studio albums.
The crew format is still the point
All Said And Done does not operate like a compilation where every artist appears everywhere. Different combinations rotate through the track list.
“Mosaico: Suite 1” brings together Casual, Opio, Tajai and Del. “Hard Numbers” includes Casual, Opio, Phesto, Pep Love and Del. “Uplifted” expands to a seven-member lineup, while other records narrow the group down to two or three voices.
That structure keeps the Hieroglyphics identity intact without forcing the same roster configuration onto every song.
Production is credited to A-Plus, Domino and DJ Toure, with Starski handling mixing and mastering. The cover illustration is credited to Shomari Smith; the group’s Bandcamp page specifically notes that the artwork was drawn by hand and does not use generative AI.
A release after years of individual movement
Hieroglyphics never disappeared during the gap between group albums. Members continued releasing solo projects, performing and keeping the Imperium identity active. But a formal Hieroglyphics album carries a different weight because the collective itself is the artist.
The new record also arrives in a period when a number of foundational rap crews are finding ways to release music without treating legacy status as retirement. Hieroglyphics built an independent infrastructure early, and All Said And Done still arrives through the group’s own Imperium operation.
That history is part of the context, but the record does not need nostalgia to justify itself. Sixteen new tracks are now available, and the group is putting the music itself back at the center.
What is on the album
The track list includes “Eyes Wide Shut,” “Hieroglyphics Faction,” “Drum Talk,” “Gods and Goats,” the title track, “Uplifted,” “Hiero on the Scrolls” and “Crescent Moon Velvet Sky,” among others.
Bandcamp lists the official release date as Sept. 3, while Apple Music also shows the 16-song project under Hieroglyphics.
For a crew with a catalog stretching back to the 1990s, the headline is simple: Hieroglyphics are not just touring the old records. They have a new group album to add to them.
