Jhené Aiko has reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the first time.
Westside Whimsy debuts at the top of the chart dated September 26 after earning 74,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending September 17, according to Billboard and Luminate.
The total included more than 71 million on-demand streams, while traditional album sales accounted for a much smaller share of the opening week.
The result gives Aiko a career milestone nearly 13 years after Sail Out became her first Billboard 200 entry.
Westside Whimsy is also the first R&B album by a woman to lead the Billboard 200 in 2026. The previous woman-led R&B album to reach No. 1 was SZA’s SOS in May 2025.
Aiko released Westside Whimsy on September 11, six years after Chilombo. The 20-track project includes appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Larry June, Tyga and OHMA.
