Kai Cenat’s fashion experiment has officially made it to a runway.
Vivet debuted its first collection Saturday night in New York during Fashion Week, almost a year after Cenat began publicly documenting his move from streamer into fashion founder and designer.
Complex reports that the show drew Ms. Lauryn Hill, DDG, Karrahbooo, PlaqueBoyMax and members of AMP. Duke Dennis also modeled in the presentation.
Vivet has moved beyond the teaser stage
Cenat spent much of the past year making the learning process part of the brand story.
He documented garment work, carried a Vivet journal through fashion events and openly framed the project as an attempt to build something outside the lane that made him famous.
That made Saturday’s show a meaningful checkpoint. The clothes are no longer only sketches, teased bags or internet conversation. Vivet has now presented a full collection in the same week New York’s established fashion industry is showing its next season.
The room connected streaming, music and fashion
The guest list made the crossover visible.
Lauryn Hill brought a major music name into the room. DDG, Karrahbooo and PlaqueBoyMax connected the show to the younger music and streaming ecosystem around Cenat. AMP was represented both in attendance and on the runway.
That is important because Vivet’s first audience was never going to come from fashion media alone. Cenat already has one of the largest direct audiences in digital entertainment. The harder question is whether the product can stand after the initial attention from that audience.
Cenat has treated the process as part of the brand
Vogue highlighted Vivet as one of the wildcards on the Spring 2027 New York Fashion Week schedule before the show.
That attention came because Cenat’s path is unusual. He did not enter fashion quietly with a celebrity merch capsule. He spent months presenting himself as a beginner learning the work, visiting factories and publicly showing pieces of the design process.
That creates a different expectation.
Fans are not only evaluating whether a hoodie or bag looks good. They are watching whether Cenat can turn the discipline that made him dominant in streaming into a second serious creative business.
The runway is the beginning of the harder test
A successful show can create conversation. A durable fashion company needs product, delivery, repeat customers, margins, manufacturing consistency and another collection after the first one.
Vivet now has the cultural launch moment.
What happens after Fashion Week will tell us whether it becomes a lasting brand or remains one major event attached to one of the internet’s biggest personalities.
