Lil Durk has been acquitted on all five counts in his federal murder-for-hire trial in Los Angeles.
The jury returned not-guilty verdicts after three days of deliberations, ending the trial that centered on prosecutors’ allegations that Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, helped organize a 2022 plot targeting rapper Quando Rondo.
The August 2022 shooting did not kill Rondo. His cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, was killed.
Durk maintained his innocence throughout the case.

Durk faced five federal counts tied to stalking and murder-for-hire allegations. A conviction on the most serious charges could have exposed him to life in federal prison.

What prosecutors alleged
Federal prosecutors argued that Durk used money and relationships connected to Only the Family to help set a revenge plot in motion against Quando Rondo following the 2020 killing of King Von.
The government pointed to travel, payments, communications and testimony from cooperating witnesses as part of its case.
Those were allegations presented at trial. The jury ultimately did not find the evidence sufficient to convict Durk on any of the five counts.
What Durk’s defense argued
Durk’s attorneys challenged the government’s theory and attacked the credibility of cooperating witnesses who had entered plea agreements.
The defense argued that prosecutors had not proved Durk knowingly joined or directed the alleged plot and that actions taken by people around OTF could not automatically be attributed to him.
After deliberating for three days, jurors returned not-guilty verdicts on all five counts against Durk.
