Rod Wave has another No. 1 album.
Don't Look Down debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 chart dated September 12, giving the Florida rapper-singer his fourth No. 1 on the chart.
According to Billboard's chart report, the album earned 99,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the tracking week ending September 3, based on Luminate data.
Streaming drove most of the total. Billboard reported 90,000 streaming-equivalent album units, representing 95.07 million on-demand official streams of the album's songs. Traditional album sales accounted for 9,000 units, while track-equivalent units were negligible.
That result puts Don't Look Down alongside three previous Rod Wave chart-toppers:
- SoulFly — 2021
- Beautiful Mind — 2022
- Nostalgia — 2023
The new project also becomes his eighth top-10 album on the Billboard 200.
RRL previously covered the release itself on August 28, when the album arrived in a 20-track standard configuration with an expanded 24-track digital/streaming edition and a different physical configuration.
The September 6 development is the chart result, not another release announcement.
The final No. 1 also lands slightly below the roughly 102,000-unit projection reported before the chart closed, but the overall outcome held: Don't Look Down opened on top.
For Rod Wave, the bigger career marker is consistency. Four No. 1 albums across five years places the new release inside an established album-level audience rather than treating this as an isolated breakout week.
The full September 12 Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to post after the Labor Day holiday delay, but Billboard's No. 1 result and Luminate totals were published September 6.
